Legal aid Society
It
is a registered society bearing Reg.No.1045/2010. It is a Non-Profit Making,
Non-Political, Non-Government and Voluntary Organization. The society formed by socially motivated advocates to do social service. The main aims and
objects of the society are-
1. Character and Aims: The Association shall act to
provide legal aid to poor and also as vanguard against white collar offences
and matrimonial offences. The primary object of the Association is to provide
legal aid and assistance to poor, needy persons and also assist the Govt. law
enforcing agencies against the social evils namely illegal Money Circulation
Schemes, Harassment, insults and looting in the name of Micro Finance lending,
Financial Frauds, Anti-Consumer and Unfair Trade Practices, Money Laundering,
Corruption, Matrimonial offences namely Dowry Harassment, Domestic Violence and
Extortions in the name of dowry harassment and domestic violence, Environment
Pollution and Violation of Human Rights as explained in Article 21 of the
Constitution of India.
2. Primary objects: The primary and incidental aims
and objects of the Society are:
(i)
To promote and conduct Analysis, to bring Awareness and make Efforts to save
the poor and needy persons against the social evils namely illegal Money
Circulation Schemes by whatever name called, Harassment and looting in the name
of Micro Finance Lending, Financial Frauds, Land Grabbing, Land Issues,
Anti-Consumer and Unfair Trade practices, Money Laundering, Matrimonial
offences namely Dowry Harassment, Domestic Violence and Extortions in the name
of Dowry Harassment and Domestic Violence, Environment Pollution, Corruption
and Violation of Human Rights as explained in Article 21 of the Constitution of
India
(ii)
To promote free Legal Aid to the poor and needy in the above subjects
irrespective of Caste, Creed, Language, Religion and Region.
(iii)
To assist and also provide financial assistance to the poor Advocates to take
up this social cause.
(iv)
To represent before the Government Agencies and request them to take stern
actions against this social evils and also to take up awareness camps to
eliminate these social evils.
(v)
To build network and work with analogous organizations including Govt. Agencies
in India to eliminate these social evils and save the gullible, hapless and
poor persons from these social evils.
(vi)
To undertake and conduct research on the above mentioned issues and create
awareness against such social evils among public and law enforcing agencies.
(vii)
To assist the regulators in facilitating better regulatory mechanism and
performing their role in an effective manner.
(viii)
To help the Advocates who are fighting against these social evils.
(ix)
To promote Legal Aid Camps in rural areas and save the rural innocent men and
women from these social evils.
(x)
To promote and assist community action including legal action viz. filing
criminal cases, assisting victims to file criminal and civil cases, filing
Public Interest Litigations (PILs), representing before Courts, Tribunals,
Commissions, Govt. Agencies to eliminate these social evils.
(xi)
To expose the fraudulent and devious and swindling activities of the deceptive
promoters.
(xii)
To publish literature, brochures and booklets against these social evils and
their modus operandies.
